This year’s production will tug heartstrings with the love story, “Sweet-Lee”. Performing with NAFA students (from the Diploma in Dance programme) are I’m Soul Inc's community, including the seniors and therapist from the SASCO Senior Citizens' Home, youths from Down Syndrome Association and students with special needs from the Melbourne Specialist International School.
In addition, we have prepared some pre-show activities (at the foyer outside the theatre) to showcase the works of our partners from TOUCH Community and Petalz and also to enable our audiences to experience I'm Soul Inc's amazing music technology, the Soundbeam.
SYNOPSIS
ACT I takes off with a dressed rehearsal happening at the Association of People with Different Abilities. A photograph left behind after the rehearsal had Mr Lim walk down memory lane and relive the wonderful times spent with Sher.
Mr Lim first met Sher in Hong Kong, where they fell in love in a dance gathering. Their rendezvous was interrupted by the news of Singapore’s separation from Malaysia. With much reluctance, they parted ways.
ACT II “Those letters that I have been writing over the past 20 years remained unanswered.” Lyn, Mr Lim's caretaker, continue to inquire about Mr Lim's heartaches.
Call it coincidence, chance or telepathy, Sher also reminisced about the times spent with Mr Lim.
ACT III centres around the live media recording for the show Mr Lim has been rehearsing for. Mysteries surrounding the photo are resolved……
