The DMT Module began in 2012 with the aim of expanding the skills of the NAFA Dance Programme Students in interacting with a variety of clients with different needs and unique abilities. The highlight of the development of this Module was having the students perform the opening for the 8th ASEAN Paragames to an international audience in December 2015. Since then, we have worked with the community through I'm Soul Inc, St John's Home and Cancer Society. The graduates of the programme have also started teaching for the Down Syndrome Association and the YMCA. LahLah Land is lovingly produced and managed by the senior year DMT students, performed by the junior DMT students, choreographed by DrFil and crewed by an amazing group of dancers who generously gave their time and talent to this production.

Jessica started Chinese Dance since 8 years old. She studied in Beijing Dance Academy and has been under the tutelage of esteemed mentors – Bai Shi Yin Guang Bo & Xiong Ji Wen. Apart from dancing, she is keen in production and fashion. She is a fashion studies graduate was and the Stage Manager for Crossings 2017.

Goh Jou Zhi (Joise) is currently a Year 2 student taking Diploma in Dance at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Apart from dance, she has taken part in Dance Production, Dance Teaching as well as Dance Composition in NAFA.

As a Maquiling Ballet Dancer in the Philippine High School for the Arts, he received the Outstanding Student Artist Award in 2015. He won 1st place and the Trudledubsky Best Choreography award in the 1st National Ballet Competition in the Philippines & Gold Medal for Ballet in Grasse, France. He is an incoming senior student and has performed in all major dance productions for NAFA.

Xue Jing is currently a Year 2 Diploma in Dance student at NAFA. Apart from dancing full-time, her other interests include wushu, lion-dance and music. She is excited and grateful to embark on her next adventure, an exchange programme to Purchase College, SUNY.

Formally trained at Singapore Ballet Academy and School of The Arts, Natalie is currently a student majoring in Dance (Diploma) at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She started dancing at age 6, and has performed in various productions held by SOTA, SBA as well as NAFA.

Lii Yuan began her dance training at age 5, at Sylvia McCully’s School of Dancing. She continued dancing throughout her educational years and while pursuing a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Republic Polytechnic. Upon graduation in 2014, Lii Yuan joined NAFA. Since then, she has performed in various productions in school such as Dancers@Work 2016 and Crossings 2017, as well as The Nutcracker in Centre Stage Performing Arts’ year end production.

Lynda is a 50 year old single mum with 2 beautiful children aged 17 and 18 years. The oldest,Reuben, has Down’s syndrome. 17 years ago, this former full-time accountant decided to focus on early intervention and enrichment programmes for her son to improve his quality of life. Reuben has performed in Cheeky Beanies and Legends of Bukit Merah in 2008. In 2013, People's Association showcased his solo performance as Niki Minaj and Beyonce in Clap! He joined the Bold Festival in Canberra Australia

Sai founded a hip hop group "Urban Central Statement" in 2014 in ITE College central. He started Malay dance in 2003 at Bukit View Primary and learned hip hop and break dance from Mr Zaihar, contemporary dance through Mr. Zaini Tahir. He danced the finale piece for ITE Emblazon, choreographed by Mr Zaini in 2015.

Sammi starting tap dancing and competing at age 7 and jazz at age 12 with Attitude Performing Arts Studio. She entered NAFA in year 2015 and has taken part in Dancers @ Work and Crossings 2017.

Samuel is a student of Mountbatten Vocational School. He is friendly, courteous, always smiling and ever ready to help others. He is passionate about dancing, bowling, drumming and acting. He has performed for the OktoLive Show (Mediacorp 2011) & the Asean Paragames, 2015. In the upcoming 9th Special Olympics Singapore National Games on Saturday 20 May 2017, Samuel will be competing in the bowling event. Samuel also serves in church as usher and song leader.

Stephanie developed an interest in ballet at the age of 7 and has since taken the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. She was also part of the Dance programme in CHIJ Toa Payoh Primary, from there Stephanie was encouraged to take up Dance as a CCA and has stuck with her ever since.

Melissa was born in Malaysia, Klang. She developed an interest in dance at the age of 7 and trained in ballet under The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). She furthered her studies at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she began her interest in contemporary dance. Li Ying has learnt to continuously challenge herself to work harder.

Merry Melodies

APSN Chaoyang School’s very own choir. It started in 2007 as part of the school’s CCA programmes. The choir is comprised of 10 to 12 year old students, under the guidance of their vocal instructor, Ms Irene Jansen. The choir has evolved through the years and the members have been exposed to a variety of platforms where they could showcase their talent and love of performance. Most remarkably, they have also performed at the ASEAN Para Games 2016 and the SPED Conference 2017.
