A Journey To Inclusivity
This finale presentation of the Dance Science Modules for 2017 is a scion of a previous piece on migration, La-în. From Banyaga, the 2nd sketch in La-în, we derive another narrative of a group of misfits who finds joy in pursuing their unique passions.
Through this piece, we peer into the performers' personal lives and decipher what motivates each of them as time passes by and they encounter society (signified by a devised clock on the floor). The props they interact with take on different meanings, both literal and figurative, accompanying them in this self-revelatory journey of rejection and inclusivity.
